About Masalli

Masalli, located in the southeast of the country, is an extraordinarily colorful region of Azerbaijan. This region keeps attracting tourists due to its unique historical monuments, picturesque and unique nature and hospitality of the local people. In total, the region of Masalli has 168 historical monuments: fortresses, palaces, temples, bathhouses, of which 65 are of national importance. The Masalli region is famous for its hot mineral springs – Istisu, which is now well equipped with health tourism facilities. Due to the mild subtropical climate, the average temperature in the region in summer is 29 C and 7 C in winter. The region has many ethnic communities, which, in addition to Azerbaijanis, are represented by the Talish community – a people distinctive culture, rich traditions and diverse cuisine.
